1) Gate Admission: District, JV, Regional Tournament’s: $5.00 Adults, $3.00 Students, Children 5 & under Free.
League Championship: - $10.00 Adults, $5.00 Students, Children 5 & under Free.
2) Gate Receipts: JV tournaments: 35% goes to the hosting team, 65% goes to the league
District tournament: 35% goes to the hosting team, 65% goes to the league
Regional tournament: 35% goes to the hosting team, 65% goes to the league
League Championship: 40% goes to the hosting team, 60% goes to the league
3) Referee’s: JV tournament: clubs/teams members must provide referees for this Tournament
District tournament: MJWL shall assign up to 9 referees for each site, each referee shall be paid $115.00 for the day which shall be paid by the league.
Regional tournament: MJWL shall assign up to 12 referees for each site, each referee shall be paid $125.00 for the day which shall be paid by the league.
League Championship: MJWL shall assign up to 12 for each day of this tournament, each referee shall be paid $125.00 per day which shall be paid by the league.
4) Awards: JV tournament: Medals shall be awarded for the 1st thru 8th places of each weight class, which shall be paid for by the league.
District tournament: Medals shall be awarded for the 1st thru 8th places of each weight class, which shall be paid for by the league.
Regional tournament: Medals shall be awarded for the 1st thru 8th places of each weight class, which shall be paid for by the league.
League Championship: Awards shall be awarded for the 1st thru 6th places of each weight class. The current awards are trophies and shall be paid for by the league.
5) Table Help: Each member club/team shall provide a set of table help (scorer, timer, bracketer and bopper) to work each tournament that they are attending. Each club/team shall provide one set of table equipment, consisting of a score chart, 2 stop watches and a set of leg bands.
6) Hosting Club/Team: shall provide the following for the tournament that they are hosting:
A) Facility
B) Mats
C) Security
D) Tables & Chairs for scorer, timer, bracketer
E) Brackets – working and award brackets if awarded
F) Bouts sheets
G) Directions & Schedule provided to each member club/team attending
H) Announcer
I) Trainer or EMT
J) Weigh-in scales and a place for weigh-ins
K) Provide MJWL executive board a copy of each bracket for each weight class of the tournament. This means that the hosting team, that are hosting a district, a regional or the league championship shall bring these bracket to the next scheduled league meeting.
L) District hosting team shall provide the regional hosting team a copy of each brackets for each weight class of the tournament
M) Regional hosting team shall provide the league championship hosting team a copy of each bracket for each weight class
7) MJWL shall provide the following:
A) Awards
B) Referees
C) Seeding charts for Regional & League Championship
D) MJWL Executive Board member to oversee weigh-ins at Districts, Regional, League Championship
E) MJWL Executive Board shall provide support & help if needed
8) JV Tournament: For novice/rookie wrestler in the age groups 6, 8, 10, & 12 under. If a wrestler wrestles in the JV tournament they cannot wrestle in the District or Regional Tournaments.
9) Age Group: Minimum age is 4 years old for the 6 & Under, Maximum age is 14 years old in the 14 & Under (as of January of current season ) and not be a freshman in high school.
10) Weight Groups: The minimum weight class may be changed depending on the number of wrestlers that weigh below that weight class in each age group. The maximum weight class may be changed depending on the number of wrestlers that weigh over that weight class in each age group. If a single wrestler is over the maximum weight class for an age group he may be moved up an age group and down one weight class.
11) Weigh-ins: The hosting team may elect to have a satellite weigh-in location, that said location shall be overseen by a member of the hosting team. WEIGH-IN FOR TOURNAMENTS ( districts – regional – league championship) SHALL BE HELD THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT IS SCHEDULED TO HELD.
12) Wrestle back: shall be wrestled for second place if the third and second place winners have not wrestled already in their bracket. This shall take place after the championship match, with the proper amount of rest time for each wrestler. This wrestle-back shall be done at all districts, both regional and the league championship. |
